Uzbekistan produces 3.87 billion cubic meters of gas in January
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The decline in natural gas production in Uzbekistan continues.
According to data from the Statistics Agency, the country extracted 3.87 billion cubic meters of gas in January 2025, representing a 3% decrease compared to the same period last year.
Additionally, oil production fell by 8.7%, amounting to 55.1 thousand tons.
Gas condensate output also declined, with 101 thousand tons produced during the reporting period—9.6% less than in January 2024.
At the same time, the coal industry recorded growth. In January of this year, Uzbekistan’s enterprises mined 408.8 thousand tons of coal, exceeding the figures for the same period last year by 14.3%.
