In January-September 2012, machinery enterprise of Uzbekistan produced industrial goods for 6.088 trillion soums, which rose by 10.6% year-on-year.
In nine months of 2012, Uzbekistan produced 178,000 cars, which exceeds the figure of the same period of 2011 by 6.2%. The committee said that production of automobiles (without specialized ones) rose by 6%, lorries – by – 57.9% and buses – 0.5%.
In the reporting period, production of lifts grew by 56.3%, batteries – by 4.4%. The production of automobile engines increased as well.
Uzbekistan also increased production of such non-food products as air conditioners (5.6 times), energy saving lamps (4.1 times), electric kettles (27.7%), irons (24.8%), refrigerators and deep-freezers (18.5%). The country also launched production of washing machines, microwave ovens, gas-stoves and vacuum cleaners.
The committee added that the country increased output of agriculture equipment - mowing machines (3.6 times), syringes and dusting machine (2.2 times), tractor ploughs (2.5 times), tractor seeders (66.6%), cultivators – 8.6%. The enterprises also launched production of modern cotton-pickers.
Uzbekistan achieved growth of production of electrotechnical equipment such as non-isolated wires for electricity (2.7 times), coils wires (1.3 times), long-distance communication cable (9.7%), radio frequency wires and cables (7.7%) and control cables (4.4%).
