Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From January to November 2024, Uzbekistan’s electricity production increased by 4.52% compared to the same period in 2023, reaching 73.6 billion kWh, according to the Statistics Agency.
Large enterprises in the country produced 64.58 billion kWh, a 7.47% decrease compared to the previous year.
Meanwhile, small businesses showed significant growth, increasing electricity production from 625.4 million kWh in 2023 to 9.02 billion kWh in 2024.
The production of thermal energy decreased by 7%, amounting to 19.85 million Gcal.
Additionally, during the reporting period, 92.4 million cubic meters of gas were produced from underground coal gasification, marking a 45.97% increase compared to the same period last year.
