Uzbekistan privatizes 70 objects in 1H
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In the framework of the Programme on Decentralization and Privatization, according to the State Property Committee of Uzbekistan, 70 enterprises and projects were privatized in the reporting period.

The greatest number of projects was privatized in the city of Tashkent (28.6% of the total projects privatized by the republic), Tashkent region (14.3%), Ferghana region (14.3%), Surkhandarya region (10%).

In the structure of privatized state property the highest share falls upon projects of the local authority (55.7%), Ministry of Agriculture and Water Industry (14.3%), Ministry of National Education (4.3%), Ministry of Health (2.9%), Association Uzpakhtasanoat (2,9%).

Receipts of money from privatization and decentralization amounted to 21 billion soums in January-June 2009.

The most part of receipts was marked in the city of Tashkent (45.5% of total monetary means received from decentralization and privatization), Tashkent region (15.3%), Ferghana region (10.6%), Samarkand region (8.4%), Bukhara region (4.7%).
