Uzbekistan privatizes 100 objects in Jan-Sep
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Over 100 enterprises and objects were privatized in Uzbekistan in line with the Denationalization and Privatization Progamme, the State Property Committee of Uzbekistan said.

Largest number of enterprises was privatized in Tashkent city (26% of total number of privatized enterprises in Uzbekistan), Ferghana region (14%), Tashkent region (13%) and Surkhandarya region (12%).

About 56% of privatized objects fell to share of local administrations, 19% to Ministry of Agriculture and Water Management, 4% to the Ministry of Public Education, 3% to the Ministry of Healthcare and 2% to the Uzpakhtasanoat Association.

Uzbekistan received 27.2 billion soums from denationalization and privatization in nine months of 2009. About 48.2% of receipts was received from privatization of objects in Tashkent city, 13% from Tashkent region, 10.3% in Ferghana region, 7.3% in Samarkand region, 4.8% from Bukhara region, 3% from Namangan and Khorezm regions each.
