Tourism companies from Malaysia, Spain, Morocco, Singapore, Thailand and Uzbekistan participated at the event. Asia Tour represented Uzbekistan at the fair, Jahon news agency reported.
The Uzbek company presented samples of works of craftsmen, traditional Uzbek sweets, information on tourism company, its products, historic sights of Uzbekistan.
The report said that many tour operators of Brunei expressed interest in establishing of cooperation with the Uzbek colleagues to familiarize Bruneian tourists with Uzbek architectural monuments.
Nuratika Abdulla, head of department on development of tourism of Darussalam Holdings, which cooperates with Asia Tour, said that the fair helped to familiarize public of Brunei with rich historic-cultural heritage and traditions of Uzbek people, as well as familiarize them with historic monuments of the country.
She said that the company plans to organize a visit of large group of tourists from Brunei to Uzbekistan.
Manager of Abacus Abdul Halim Abdul Rakhman said that Uzbekistan is new perspective tourism direction for Brunei population. He said that Brunei citizens can be interested in unique culture and architecture monuments of Uzbekistan.
