The seminar was organized by the Center of hydrometeorology service under the Cabinet of Ministers, and it was attended by representatives of state bodies, international and regional organizations, scholars, etc.
Victor Chub, director general of Center of hydrometeorology service, said that Uzbekistan pays great attention to improving environmental situation in the country and Central Asia. He said that the country created legal base directed at rational use of natural resources and protection of health of population.
According to calculations, over 100 million tonnes of carbonic acid gas issued to atmosphere and 74% of them fell to share of developed countries.
During the event, the participants discussed issues related to climate change and adaptation to them, decreasing volume of emission, preserving biodiversity, use of alternative sources of energy, tasks for perspective, etc.
