Uzbekistan led by Mirdjalal Kasimov was on training camp in the UAE from 21 January, where it played warm-up matches against Russia’s Zenit (Uzbekistan won 1-0) and the UAE’s Al Nasr (Uzbekistan lost 1-0) and the match against the UAE within the 2011 AFC Asian Cup qualification (Uzbekistan won 1-0).

In the last warm-up match, Kasimov fielded its strongest team against Azerbaijan. The first half of the match ended goalless.

Fabio Luis Ramimi opened the score in the 70th minute of the match from penalty, while Ilyas Kurbanov scored equalizer 15 minutes later.

The match ended with the score 1-1.

Uzbekistan national team will return to Tashkent and continue preparation to the match against Bahrain within the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, which will be held on 11 February 2008.
