Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Innovative Development, the UzTEST center and the Khokimiyat of Chirchik is on a working trip to the Republic of Korea.

On 14 November, as part of the trip, a consultation meeting was held to develop a master plan for the project "Creating a platform for environmentally friendly agricultural machinery for Uzbekistan."

From the Korean side, representatives of the Korean Association of Engineering Industry (KOAMI) and Jeonbuk Technopark took part in it. From the Ministry of Innovative Development, the meeting was attended by Executive Director of the Science and Innovation Support Fund Bunyodjon Okhunov, Head of the Department for Attracting Investments in Science and Innovation Umidjon Khoshimov and Chief Specialist Farkhodjon Kudratov, as well as Head of the Regional Department of Innovative Development of Surkhandarya region Sherkhon Kichkilov.

The project "Creating a platform of environmentally friendly agricultural machinery for Uzbekistan" is being implemented by the Korea Institute of High Technology (KIAT) and its total cost is US$13 million, of which US$10 million is funded through the ODA grant program of South Korea, US$3.0 million USA - Uzavtosanoat.

Within the framework of the project, it is planned to create an R&D center in Uzbekistan and transfer agricultural machinery to environmentally friendly natural fuel on liquefied natural gas. At the meeting, negotiations were held on establishing the activities of the center.
