Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan plans to organize the activities of the International Commercial Court in 2023. This was stated by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke at the opening of the second Tashkent International Investment Forum, where he expressed gratitude to the guests for their respect for the country and trust in reforms.

The President noted the positive effect of the reforms that have been implemented since the last forum, which include measures such as VAT reduction, tax breaks on dividends for non-residents, administrative reform and reduction of the state apparatus, the abolition of licenses for a number of activities, etc. The President singled out the creation of a council of foreign investors.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that he wants to communicate more with foreign entrepreneurs and companies and that their ideas, proposals and initiatives give him strength and motivation for new reforms. He also stated that he was ready to personally guarantee the achievements of foreign investors in Uzbekistan.

The head of Uzbekistan emphasized the steps towards expanding the judicial protection of the rights of investors in Uzbekistan. Now businesses will not have to prove their case in court, and state bodies will have to substantiate the legality of their orders.

The President stressed that all inaccuracies and ambiguities in the law will be interpreted in favor of investors and that mechanisms are being introduced to ensure the obligatory implementation of decisions of international arbitration courts.

This year, reforms in the field of protecting the rights of entrepreneurs will also continue. Supporting foreign experts, it is planned to organize the activities of the International Commercial Court.
