Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government of Uzbekistan issued a resolution “On measures to implement the Investment Program of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the second quarter of 2024.”
According to the resolution, Uzbekistan plans to absorb foreign investments in the amount of US$8.12 billion in the second quarter of 2024.
In particular, it is planned to use direct investments and loans in the amount of US$7.27 billion and foreign loans under government guarantee in the amount of US$853.8 million.
It is expected that the Ministry of Energy will absorb investments worth US$1.7 billion, and Uzbekneftegaz JSC - US$290.4 million.
Almalyk GMK plans to absorb investments in the amount of US$398 million, Uzkimyosanoat - US$199.9 million, the Ministry of Defense - US$195.8 million.
The city of Tashkent will absorb investments worth US$602.3 million, Namangan region - US$520 million and Tashkent region - US$376.3 million.
In the first quarter of 2024, Uzbekistan planned to use foreign investments worth US$7.15 billion.
