Uzbekistan participates in the International Tourism Exhibition "Tourism EXPO Japan"

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The exhibition is taking place in Tokyo from 26 to 29 September 2024. The Uzbekistan Tourism Committee has set up a national stand designed in traditional Uzbek style, featuring national ornaments and color schemes.

At the stand, materials showcasing popular tourist destinations in Uzbekistan, such as Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva, as well as ski resorts, national parks, and wellness centers, are presented. Visitors can obtain informational brochures, maps, and route pamphlets, as well as purchase souvenirs featuring Uzbekistan’s national symbols.

Representatives from Uzbek tourism companies are conducting negotiations with major Japanese tour operators, airlines, hotel chains, and travel agencies. The meetings focus on organizing joint tours, signing cooperation agreements, and promoting Uzbekistan’s tourist destinations in the Japanese market.

Additionally, the Uzbekistan stand features a concert program with performances by a renowned Uzbek musical group, showcasing traditional Uzbek songs and dances. The concert program includes famous folk songs like "Lola" and "Kelinlar," as well as traditional dances such as "Lazgi," "Uzbekcha Raqs," and "Andijan Polka."

Participation in the "Tourism EXPO Japan" will enhance Uzbekistan’s visibility in the Japanese tourism market, attract new tourists, and increase the tourist flow from Japan. Uzbekistan is committed to long-term, mutually beneficial cooperation with Japan in the tourism sector, which will strengthen cultural ties between the two countries and contribute to the development of Uzbekistan’s tourism industry.
