Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 15 to 17 February 2019, the “Festival of Asian Poetry-2019”, organized by the Raza Foundation and the India International Center, was held in Delhi.
At the festival dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and the 97th anniversary of the Indian artist Syed Haider Raz gathered about 30 poets, of which - 20 representatives of foreign countries, such as Afghanistan, Armenia, Bhutan, Vietnam, Iran, Israel, Singapore, Cambodia, Laos, China, South Korea, Japan, etc.
With the support of the embassy of our country in India, Uzbekistan was represented at the event by the well-known poetess, laureate of the “Etirof-2017” award in the nomination “Poet of the Year” Zebo Mirzayeva, who spoke with the writings of her poems.
It should be noted that the writings of Z. Mirzayeva aroused great interest among creative intellectuals of both foreign countries and Indian cultural figures, among whom the well-known Indian poet, head of the Raza Foundation Ashok expressed his appreciation during an interview with the Dunyo news agency. Vazhpeyi:
“Today about 30 poets took part in the event. This event is a unique platform for exchange in the cultural and creative direction. We are very happy that today Uzbekistan is represented by the outstanding poetess Zebo Mirzayeva, her poems truly deserve great respect. ”
For her part, the Uzbek poetess Zebo Mirzaeva noted: “I came to this festival and presented my poems dedicated to love, family, peace and freedom. I want to note that the poet is the person who conveys his inner world through his poems and calls on humanity for peace and kindness. Despite the fact that representatives from different countries have gathered here, and we speak different languages, we still understand each other, as we communicate in the language of poetry.”
“I also want to note that holding events of this nature brings people of different countries very close together, this is especially evident today in the dynamically developing relations between Uzbekistan and India,” she said.
