Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan opened criminal cases against Kyrgyz MP Emil Zhamgyrchiev. This was reported by the media of Kyrgyzstan with reference to the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan. He is accused of fraud and illegal border crossing.
According to the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan, Zhamgyrchiev approached businessman Salim Abduvaliev (Salimbay) with a request to influence officials of Kyrgyzstan.
Salimbay refused, noting that he has no influence in Kyrgyzstan.
The deputy also did not pay for accommodation in a hotel owned by Abduvaliev’s assistant.
The deputy commission of the Jogorku Kenesh approved the initiative of the Prosecutor General's Office of Kyrgyzstan to bring Zhamgyrchiev to criminal responsibility.
