Uzbekistan opens criminal cases against 75 foreigners in first quarter of 2009
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Criminal cases were opened against 75 foreigners in Uzbekistan in the first quarter of 2009. Tajik citizens were on the top of the list with 32 criminal cases against them.

The list also includes eight Kazakh citizens, as well as seven Russian and seven Kyrgyz citizens. There are also Afghan, Turkish, UAE and Israeli citizens among the people detained on suspicion of committing crimes.

Such crimes as murder, deliberate infliction of serious bodily injuries, robbery, human trafficking and drug smuggling were committed.
