Athletes were welcomed by their fans, relatives and friends, as well as representatives of the Government of Uzbekistan. Thousands of people are walked to the streets of Tashkent to welcome Olympics heroes.

Uzbek athletes travelled along with Tashkent streets on double-decker buses up to the building of Uzbekistan National Olympic Committee. Thousands of people also were waiting them.

Uzbekistan national team was on the 21st place in general medal classification. Uzbek athletes won 4 gold, two silver and seven bronze medals.

Some 70 athletes from Uzbekistan participated at the Rio Olympic Games. They competed in such sports as rowing, gymnastics, rowing, kayaking and canoeing, boxing, judo, track and weightlifting, gymnastics, table tennis, swimming, taekwondo (WTF), tennis, trampoline, shooting, freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling.
