Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The national futsal team of Uzbekistan unsuccessfully started the World Championships in Lithuania.

In the match of group "B" the national team of Uzbekistan lost to Guatemala with a score of 4:5.

Guatemalan team was leading in the match with the score 4:1, but Uzbekistan was able to equalize the score two minutes before the end of the match. A minute later, the Guatemalans managed to snatch a victory.

In another match of the group, the Russian national team defeated the Egyptian team with a score of 9:0.

In the second round, on 15 September, the national team of Uzbekistan will face the Russian Federation.

The World Championship will be held from 12 September to 3 October.
