According to new ranking, Uzbekistan national team improved its position in new ranking by two positions and claimed the 67th place.

Uzbekistan played one official match against Iran within the fourth round of the FIFA 2014 World Cup. Uzbekistan clinched a 1-0 victory.

Uzbekistan is currently fifth in Asia after Japan (22nd place), South Korea (35th place), Australia (36th place) and Iran (59th place).

Lebanon, opponent of Uzbekistan in qualification round to World Cup, dropped 15 positions to 127th place in new FIFA ranking. Qatar moved six positions up to 98th place.

Uzbekistan was the fourth among the CIS states after Russia (9th place), Ukraine (47) and Belarus (65).

Spain tops the ranking, while Germany is on the second place. Argentina holds the third place in FIFA ranking.
