Uzbekistan moves six places up in FIFA ranking

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- FIFA, world football governing body, announced its new ranking of national teams. In line with it, Uzbekistan national team moved six places up to the 73rd place in FIFA ranking.

Uzbekistan improved its ranking due to win over North Korea within the qualification round of 2012 FIFA World Cup. This helped Uzbekistan to claim 31 points.

Uzbekistan is on the sixth place among the Asian nations. Japan (17 place in the world), Australia (20), South Korea (31), Iran (42) and China (70) are above Uzbekistan.

Spain continues to top FIFA ranking, while the Netherland is on the second place and Germany is on the third place.
