Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The President of Uzbekistan has signed a law introducing amendments to the Urban Planning Code aimed at improving the system for preparing urban planning documentation.

According to the Law, the Urban Planning Code will be amended to clarify the name and powers of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services.

Additionally, the system for preparing urban planning documentation for settlements will be enhanced through the development of a General Planning Scheme for the development of Uzbekistan's territory, as well as planning schemes for the development of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and its regions.
