Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A Presidential decree "On measures to increase agricultural production using additional opportunities on agricultural land" has been issued.

A new system for cultivating crops on field edges, household plots, around multi-story buildings, and on the streets of mahallas is being implemented.

The Agency for Quarantine and Plant Protection will oversee the organization of crop cultivation, seed and seedling supply, and product export.

Producers who effectively utilize the edges of fields will receive a free phytosanitary certificate for one year and subsidies of 50% for the purchase of rootstocks for fruit seedlings grown by the in-vitro method (up to 25,000 soums per rootstock).
