During the conversation it was noted that the parliamentary ties between the Oliy Majlis and the Saeima are a main component of bilateral political relations. Parliamentary cooperation groups, established in the parliaments of both countries allow to develop interaction in this direction, to share experience on lawmaking activity, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

A shared interest in enhancing mutual trade, deepening cooperation in investment spheres with a wide involvement of business circles of Uzbekistan and Latvia was highlighted.

The sides exchanged opinions on regional and international problems. The Latvian Ambbassador Igors Apokins attended the meeting.
