Members of the UzLiDeP faction considered in the first reading the draft law “On introducing amendments and additions to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On licensing, permitting and notification procedures.”

The goal of the project is to create suitable conditions for pilgrims to correctly and safely perform Umrah, protect their rights and legitimate interests abroad and ensure their use of guaranteed services, control them by operators of the electronic public procurement system, and also ensure the safety of funds allocated for public procurement, and continue to improve mechanisms for their secure storage.

According to the bill, the types of activities required to obtain permits include the activities of an operator of the government electronic procurement system, and a fine is imposed on legal entities for performing this action or obtaining permits using forged documents. .

Also, in order to legislatively regulate the Umrah pilgrimage and ensure the rights of pilgrims, a license is being introduced to organize and conduct such an event.
