Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan is considering the possibility of allowing registration for domestic flights using a new driver’s license.

According to Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers from 19 June 017 “On measures to further improve the quality and simplify procedures for the provision of public services in the system of internal affairs bodies,” the new national driver’s license has the status of an official state document identifying the owner.

According to Uzbekistan Airports, interdepartmental approval of the final list of documents (driver’s license, birth certificate, military ID, etc.) that will be recognized at airports as identification documents and entitle passengers to register for domestic flights is currently being completed.
