Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A videoconference was held between the leadership of the Ministry of Innovative Development of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of Malaysia.
The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia has organized a videoconference between the leadership of the Ministry of Innovative Development of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of Malaysia.
The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Malaysia Ravshan Usmanov and Deputy Minister of Innovative Development Azimjon Nazarov, Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Ahmad Amzad Hashim, Ambassador of Malaysia to Uzbekistan Hendi Assan.
Ahmad Amzad Hashim noted that Kuala Lumpur considers Tashkent as a promising partner in Central Asia and welcomes the achieved level of bilateral cooperation with Uzbekistan in trade, economic, investment, innovation, educational spheres and in other areas.
Deputy Minister highly appreciated the consistent measures taken by the Government of Uzbekistan for the rapid innovative development of all sectors of the economy and social sphere based on advanced foreign experience, modern achievements of world science, developments and technologies.
The parties shared the opinion on the need for further diversifying bilateral ties in the context of development of modern technologies, including through joint research in development of artificial intelligence, medicine, pharmaceuticals, nuclear physics, nano- and biotechnology, as well as promising start-ups.
Following the talks, the parties agreed to exchange experience on development of innovative infrastructure, as well as support startups, accelerator programs, business incubators and technology parks.
