Uzbekistan will miss defender Islom Inomov, midfielder Odil Akhmedov and hero of the first leg striker Alexander Geynrikh. Akhmedov and Geynrikh did not travel to Malaysia due to sickness.

Malaysia will be without striker Mohd Zaquan Adha Abdul Radzak, who suspended for a match for two yellow cards. Mohd Aidil Zafuan was ruled out due to injury and defender Mohd Nasriq Baharom was given the marching orders in the match against the Uzbeks.
