During talks in Tashkent between officials of foreign ministries of two states, the sides considered issues of developing bilateral relations in politics, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
The sides exchanged opinion on actual international and regional issues of mutual interest, including establishment of peace and stability in Afghanistan, situation in Kyrgyz Republic.
Evaldas Ignatavicius underlined that Lithuania highly rates partnership relations between two states and advocates further dynamic development of ties.
The sides underlined that level and volume of trade-economic and financial-investment relations do not correspond potentials of two states. The sides pointed to necessity to boost relations in these directions.
It was noted that the Uzbek-Lithuanian Intergovernmental commission on trade-economic cooperation should serve as main tool for solving and discussing economic tasks.
