Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz ) – President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree that legalizes betting activities in Uzbekistan from 1 January 2025. 

According to the document, Uzbekistan allows the organization of games and betting activities on the Internet on the basis of licenses issued by the National Agency for Promising Projects.

Gambling is allowed to persons over the age of 18, both residents and non-residents of Uzbekistan.

It also establishes the procedure for taxation of activities related to the organization of lotteries, games and bookmakers on the Internet from 1 January 2025, including turnover tax for legal entities and exemption from income tax for individuals in the form of winnings.

Supervision of compliance with the legislation on betting activities will be carried out by the National Agency for Promising Projects and the Prosecutor General’s Office.
