Uzbekistan launches new DWDM-line Tashkent-Bukhara
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbektelecom joint stock company in cooperation with Japan’s NEC Corporation and Toyota Tsusho commissioned new DWDM-line with the speed of one lambda at 100 Gbps.

New line linked Tashkent, a capital city of Uzbekistan, with Bukhara, one of historic cities of Uzbekistan, Uzbektelecom said.

It is worth to mention that this is the first system, which works at the speed of 100 Gbps, in Central Asia. The system uses the most advanced technologies of coherent detection and correction, which is quite different from the traditional system of DWDM-system operating at 10 Gbps.

The project is directed at expanding capacity of data transfer channels, which will ensure reliable and high speed access of users to internet services.
