The State Property Committee said the memos directed at exchanging information and assisting attraction of investments.
The committee said the Latvian media published articles on reforms of Uzbekistan in economy and increasing role of private sector in economy, privatization process, etc.
As earlier reported, the delegation of Uzbekistan visited Latvia on invitation of the Lanida, Latvian Real Estate Association, in the first half of August. The visit was aimed at studying experience of Latvia in privatization, registration and management of real estate and valuation activity.
The Uzbek delegation included representatives of the State Property Committee, Ministry of Justice, International Finance Corporation, and others.
During the visit, the delegation held negotiations with leadership of Justice Ministry, Economy Ministry, State Land Service, State Privatization Agency of Latvia, Latvia Commercial Banks’ Association, Latvian Association of Property Appraiser and Latvia Real Estate Association.
