Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 3 November, a meeting of Uzbek-Latvian businessmen in the field of transport and logistics was held in Tashkent.

At the meeting, issues of developing cooperation between the two countries in the field of transport logistics, the effective use of existing opportunities in road and rail transportation, in particular the potential of Latvian ports, were discussed.

The event was attended by the heads of more than 20 companies in Riga, the Freeport of Ventspils, the Liepaja SEZ, the association of road carriers "Latvijas auto", Latvian Railways, Extron, Man - TESS, WT Terminal, Riga Bulk Terminal, KS Terminal, Ventall Termināls, VK Tranzīts , Quinto Logistics, LDz Cargo.

Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Latvia Uldis Reimanis emphasized the interest of both parties in bringing cooperation between our countries to a new level in the field of transport and logistics. In this direction, Latvia recognized its readiness to create all conditions for the effective use of existing opportunities, and today’s event is aimed at this goal.

During the event, Latvian transport logistics companies presented their services.

B2G and B2B meetings were also held between the heads of companies operating in the transport and logistics sector and business representatives.
