Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan discuss issue of organizing joint tours and expanding cooperation in the region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the Tashkent International Tourism Fair (TITF) “Silk Road Tourism 2023”, a meeting was held between the First Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee Jamshid Abdusalamov and the President of the Tourism Development Support Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic Abilkasim Sherniyazov.

During the meeting, measures were discussed to expand projects among entrepreneurs in the field of tourism in the direction of organizing joint tours around the region within the framework of the “Silk Road” tourism brand and the “One trip - the whole region” program.

It was also noted with pleasure that entry into the two countries from 1 September next year will be carried out using ID cards, which will extend the registration period and create additional conveniences for citizens of the two countries.

The parties agreed to organize an infotour for well-known representatives of the Uzbek and Kyrgyz media, bloggers and tourism business entities, as well as to provide wider coverage of the opportunities created for beaches of different strata.

In addition, within the framework of the 25th session of the UNWTO General Assembly, the Kyrgyz official welcomed the Uzbek side with the creation of the UNWTO International Academy of Tourism in Samarkand, expressing readiness to work closely to improve the skills of Kyrgyz specialists in this institution.
