Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuwait organized an online meeting of representatives of the competent ministries of our country with a delegation of the Kuwaiti holding company “Marafie Group”, Dunyo news agency reported.

From the Uzbek side, the event was attended by representatives of the ministries of economy and finance, investment, industry and trade, agriculture and the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.

General Director of the Marafie Group holding and Chairman of the Board of Al-Tijaria, Abdulhakim Marafi, expressed interest in investment cooperation in the field of growing agricultural products, producing various concentrates from fresh fruits, hotel business, banking and tourism in Uzbekistan.

The Kuwaiti side was informed about the benefits created for foreign investors, mechanisms for carrying out financial transactions, types of tax payments, opportunities in the agricultural sector, and investor rights to own land and real estate.

During the meeting, it was noted that specific areas of investment will be determined during the visit of the Marafie Group delegation to Tashkent on 14-15 April.

Marafie Group was founded in 1919 and is engaged in trade, manufacturing, design, real estate, construction, hospitality, electronics and electromechanics, power systems, audiovisual products, security systems and other activities. It has 30 structures and operational units, employing more than 1,500 specialists.
