Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 26 November, the forum "Uzbekistan-Korea: cooperation in the field of electronic government and digital economy" began its work at Inha University in Tashkent. The Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications Sherzod Shermatov took part in it.
The main goal of the forum is the exchange of experience and knowledge between Uzbekistan and Korea in the field of e-government and digital economy. It was attended by representatives of ministries and departments, business associations and banks, teachers of Inha University in Tashkent, as well as international experts.
At the forum, the Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications Sherzod Shermatov made a welcoming speech. As the Minister noted, the assistance of ministries and departments, business associations is also necessary in the development of e-government and the widespread introduction of digital technologies.
“We can say with confidence that this forum will bring tangible benefits to all its participants, and will also become the foundation for the widespread use of IT technologies in the life of citizens and the digitalization of public administration and economic sectors,” added Minister of ICT Shermatov.
During the forum, the results of the activities of the Uzbek-Korean expert group were also presented within the framework of the Memorandum signed in 2020 between the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Public Administration and Security of the Republic of Korea on cooperation in the field of electronic government and the digital economy.
