Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During the WIPO Diplomatic Conference held in Riyadh from 11 to 22 November, Uzbekistan signed the Agreement on Industrial Designs.
The agreement, signed by Uzbekistan’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Nodirjon Turgunov, complements the previously ratified Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement by clarifying procedural aspects, according to the Dunyo news agency.
By joining this agreement, Uzbekistan will streamline the process for registering its industrial designs abroad and align its national legislation with international standards.
This step marks a significant milestone in advancing intellectual property rights in Uzbekistan and supporting national manufacturers in the global market.
