Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 11 September, the Minister for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh. Sadikov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. Yoshinori Fujiyama.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of ICT, postal services, telecommunications and other important topics.
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Uzbekistan Yoshinori Fujiyama noted great attention and striving for the development of information technologies in Uzbekistan. He also listed the factors uniting the two countries, highlighting the growing interest in the Uzbek market.
The meeting also discussed issues identified in the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 9, 2020 "On measures to implement investment projects with the participation of the Japanese Bank for International Cooperation and the Commercial Bank of Japan."
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current state and action plans for promising cooperation on the development and management of information technology centers, technology parks and innovation centers, IT education and the introduction of the latest technologies.
The parties noted the great potential for the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan in the field of information technologies and expressed their readiness to mobilize all efforts in this direction.
