Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 31 July 2023, a meeting was held between Uzbekistan Temir Yollari JSC and the Italian company Arsenale Group, at which important issues of cooperation and implementation of common projects were discussed. 

The meeting was chaired by the First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari JSC Kh. Rakhmetov and the General Director of Arsenale Group P. Barlett.

During the negotiations, the Italian company presented a new tourist train called "Luxury touristic train". This train offers luxury and comfort for travelers. This train is proposed to be launched on the route Tashkent - Samarkand - Bukhara - Khiva - Tashkent.

During the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness to discuss a cooperation agreement, which provides for the creation of a joint venture, the development of routes and schedules, as well as the start of practical work on the project.

“As you know, last month the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev paid a visit to Italy and held a meeting with representatives of the business community,” says Kh. Rakhmetov, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari JSC. - In particular, the Italian company "Arsenale Group" was also present at this meeting. As a result of the June negotiations, today, this company came to us with a proposal for joint cooperation. Its general director P. Barletta proposed to launch a tourist train from Europe through Uzbekistan to China. I consider the implementation of this project an important step, because there has never been such a thing in the history of railways. Also, a proposal was received from the Italian side to create a joint venture with Uzbekistan Temir Yollari JSC. Based on the results of the implementation of all the goals, it is planned to launch a high-speed tourist train from Europe through the Caucasus, through Russia, through Uzbekistan to China.

At the end of the meeting, the Italian guests went to the Tashkent-Central railway station and to the JSC Tashkent Plant for the Construction and Repair of Passenger Cars (JSC TVSRZ) in order to familiarize the infrastructure and wagon fleet of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari JSC.

This cooperation opens up new prospects for the development of the tourism industry in Uzbekistan and attracting more foreign tourists. Both sides expressed confidence in the successful implementation of joint plans and intend to actively work on their implementation.
