Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 28 December, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Uzbekistan Agostino Pinna. 

The sides discussed topical issues of current cooperation and prospects for further expansion of trade, economic and investment interaction between the two countries.

The sides noted the interest of Italian business in Uzbekistan - in recent years, the number of enterprises in the country with the participation of Italian capital has grown significantly, covering such new areas as energy, metallurgy, chemical industry, mechanical engineering, textile production, etc.

The mechanisms of interaction for attracting Italian companies to implement joint projects in Uzbekistan have been considered.
