Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation from Uzbekistan led by Minister of Agriculture Aziz Voitov held a round table with local entrepreneurs in Italy.

Today, a delegation of the food and agricultural industry of Uzbekistan, headed by Aziz Voitov, is on a visit to Italy. During the visit, a round table was held with representatives of large Italian companies and local entrepreneurs in the city of Chenesa, Italy.

The event was attended by about a hundred representatives of the Italian business community, including Renzo Pirazzini, President of the organization of the international food exhibition "Macfrut", Enrico Turoni, President of the agricultural machinery manufacturers association CERMAC, Carlo Battistini, President of the Chamber of Commerce of the provinces of Romania, Forli-Cesena and Rimini.

At the round table, Italian businessmen were introduced to the possibilities of the food and agricultural industry in Uzbekistan; reforms carried out in the industry; export potential of the industry. It was said about the benefits and favorable opportunities for foreign investors in Uzbekistan.

Representatives of the Italian business community showed great interest in the agricultural sector of Uzbekistan and recognized that there are all opportunities for further expansion of cooperation in the field of agri-food. In particular, the President of the Association of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers CERMAC Enrico Turoni spoke, who noted that a memorandum was signed with Uzbekistan in early July and expressed satisfaction with the establishment of long-term relations between the two countries on the production of agricultural machinery and equipment and the introduction of modern agricultural technologies.

The round table was held in the spirit of friendly dialogue, Italian entrepreneurs received detailed answers to all their questions.

It is worth noting that during the visit, the delegation of Uzbekistan visited Unitec and got acquainted with the processing and sorting line for fruits and vegetables. Also, the latest achievements of Italian seed production were studied at SAS Seeds, a company specializing in breeding and seed production.
