Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A new football channel will appear in Uzbekistan, which will broadcast football matches and help popularize football.
On 3 November, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev adopted a resolution on measures to expand the network of football educational institutions and develop football infrastructure in accordance with international standards.
In accordance with this resolution, the Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA) organizes the activities of the National Football Center, the Training Center for National Football Teams on the basis of the Republican School of Higher Sports Excellence in Football, as well as the Center for Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation.
The Football Specialists Training Center will also be renamed the Football Specialists Training and Research Center. The Republican Youth Football Academy will become the Republican Football Academy.
The President instructed to organize futsal teams in various regions, including major, youth and women’s teams collaborating with professional football clubs.
From 1 January 2024, former players and specialists will be able to receive funding in the amount of up to 1.5 billion soums in national currency for the development of football in the private sector. Loans will be provided for a period of at least 5 years subject to a positive decision of the UFA.
In addition, by 1 March 2024, it is planned to create a unified electronic register of all stadiums and football fields in Uzbekistan.
