Uzbekistan is an important partner of Türkiye in Central Asia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan is an important partner of Türkiye in Central Asia. This was stated by the President of the Marmara Group Foundation Akkan Suver, speaking at a round table on the topic “Uzbekistan - Türkiye: a comprehensive strategic partnership”, organized by the Institute of Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (ISMI) together with the Turkish Marmara Group Foundation on 14 September in Tashkent.

As the President of the Foundation noted, Tashkent is currently one of Ankara’s important partners in Central Asia. The extensive market of Uzbekistan, the favorable investment climate created in this country, along with cultural and historical similarities, are of great interest in Türkiye.

Highly appreciating the current state of bilateral interaction, A. Suver emphasized that largely thanks to the political will and close, trusting dialogue between the two leaders, Uzbek-Turkish cooperation was raised to the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership.

This, the Turkish expert is convinced, is a powerful foundation for strengthening further fruitful cooperation between the two fraternal states.

From the editors, we would like to remind you that the event, organized by ISMI jointly with the Turkish Marmara Group Foundation, was attended by representatives of the Turkish diplomatic mission in Tashkent, authoritative scientific and expert circles, as well as the leadership of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA).

The Uzbek side was represented by the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, heads and experts of leading think tanks, such as the Information and Analytical Center for International Relations, the Institute of Forecasting and Macroeconomic Research, the Development Strategy Center, and the Center for Progressive Reforms.

The parties exchanged views on the state and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation, developed new ideas and proposals to strengthen trade, economic and investment, cultural and humanitarian ties.
