Uzbekistan, Iran discuss bilateral cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Tenth session of the joint Uzbek-Iranian intergovernmental commission on trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation was held in Tehran, capital of Iran, on 17-18 January 2010.

The Uzbek delegation was led by the Deputy Prime Minister and Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade Elyor Ganiev and Iranian delegation was headed by Mehdi Ghazanfari.

The sides discussed current affairs and perspectives of bilateral cooperation in trade-economic and scientific-technical spheres. The sides considered issues of boosting trade turnover, developing cooperation in transport-communication spheres and transit issues.

The sides inked a protocol of the session on the result of negotiations. The sides agreed to hold next session of the commission in Tashkent in 2011.
