Uzbekistan started to replace numbers for emergency and information services from 0X to 10X and from 0XX to 10XX in May 2014.

The subscribers now should add “1” to two and three digit numbers of emergency and information services. For example, the subscribers should dial “101” to call to “01” service.

New numbers of emergency and information services:

01 (Anti-fire service) – 101
02 (Police) – 102
03 (Medical aid) – 103
04 (Gas service) – 104
050 (Emergency Service) – 1050
0xx (Other services) – 10xx

It is worth to mention that both new and old numbers of emergency and information services will work at the same time within next three months.

It should be underlined that now both mobile and fixed communication subscribers will dial single numbers to call to emergency and information services, without dialing #.

New numbers of emergency and information services were introduced in Tashkent in the middle 2013.

In October 2014, Uzbekistan is planning to replace prefixes for inter-city and international calls – from 8 to 0 and from 8-10 to 00.
