Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan has introduced new export fee rates for cotton yarn.
The corresponding regulations are outlined in a decree by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev titled "On Additional Measures to Ensure Equal Business Conditions and Create a Fair Competitive Environment."
According to the document, starting from 1 January 2025, the export fee for cotton yarn will be set at 2% of its export value per kilogram, capped at a maximum of US$0.05.
Additionally, a fee of 1% of the export value per kilogram will apply to the export of knitted fabric.
It is worth noting that since early 2023, a fixed fee of $0.1 per kilogram has been in effect for the export of cotton yarn and knitted fabric.
