Uzbekistan introduced tax consultation and determined authorized body regulating tax consultation. Uzbek Finance Ministry was entrusted as authorized body of tax consultation.

Introduction of institute of professional tax consultation of taxpayers increases efficiency of solving of tax issues, protection of rights and interests of taxpayers in courts and tax bodies.

Thecountryintroduced a Law "On tax consultation" in 2006, which strengthens guarantees and formation of favourable environment for development of national business.

Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan issued resolution "On measures on development of tax consultation" on 20 March 2007, which formed necessary legislative base.

Roundtable in Tashkent discussed legal status and perspectives of development of institute of tax consultation. The meeting also considered issues on improvement of fiscal policy.

The meeting said the single standards of tax consultations will promote correct implementation of tax legislation and protection of rights of taxpayers.

Independent and professional tax consultation should serve as tool for legal, financial and management assistant to legal entities and boost business activity of population.

It also creates conditions for further economic growth and investment attractiveness of the country, expand opportunity of investment and innovative activity of taxpayers.
