In line with the law, the article 57-1 “Infliction of punishment at active repentance of guilty” was included into the Criminal Code.

The article says that 2/3 of maximal punishment will be exposed if suspect comes and confess, frankness, or assistance to investigation or voluntary compensation of damage. There also should not be aggravating circumstances.

The article added that the rule does not spread to people who committed crimes related to premeditated murder at aggravating circumstances and terrorism.
