Uzbekistan intends to introduce a mandatory procedure for registering electronic invoices

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan intends to introduce a mandatory procedure for registering electronic invoices by all economic entities starting from 1 January 2019.

The State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan published the draft Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to expand the use in the tax administration of modern information and communication technologies” for discussion.

The document said that a draft resolution of the Cabinet of Minister on phased introduction of online cash registers, envisaging transfer data on transactions to the tax authorities, should be developed by 1 February 2019.

The document proposed to introduce a mandatory procedure for registering of the received and issued invoices for goods received and sold, works and services based on the database of electronic invoices and electronic cargo customs declarations (invoices) issued when making export-import transactions.

The draft resolution also includes the Program of Measures to Strengthen the Material and Technical Base of the State Tax Service and Expand the Computing Capacity of the Data Processing Center of the State Tax Committee for the successful implementation and operation of software products for the accounting of electronic invoices, automated monitoring systems for online cash registers, for processing BIG DATA.
