Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A number of fines for violations of the traffic rules were raised in Uzbekistan. The relevant amendments have been made to the Administrative Responsibility Code.
In particular, the penalty for using a telephone by drivers while driving a vehicle (TS) has been increased from 2 to 3 minimum monthly wages (MMW), and a repeated violation during the year – from 3 to 4 MMW or deprivation of the right to drive a vehicle to 6 months .
The penalty for drivers, exceeding the set speed by more than 40 km/h, has now been increased from 7 to 9 MMW.
Exceeding the speed by more than 20 km/h, but not more than 40 km/h again during a year after applying the fine or exceeding the speed by not more than 20 km/h again during the year after double application of the fine results in a fine of 15 MMW (before that - 10 MMW) or deprivation of the right to drive a vehicle for a period of 1 year.
A fine for speeding more than 40 km / h repeatedly during the year after the fine or more than 20 km / h, but not more than 40 km / h again within a year after twice applying the fine, or speeding by no more than 20 km / h again within a year after a threefold application of a fine is 25 MRZP with deprivation of the right to drive a vehicle for a period of 2 years.
Driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other intoxication, in addition to depriving them of the right to drive a vehicle for 1.5 to 3 years, is subject to a fine in the amount of 25 MMW.
The same offense committed by a person, who does not have the right to drive a car, is punished by a fine for 40 MMW or an administrative arrest of up to 15 days.
A fine for transferring vehicle control to a person who is under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other intoxication is punishable by a fine in the amount of 25 MMW with a deprivation of the right to drive from 2 to 3 years.
Evasion of drivers of vehicles from passing an examination on the state of alcoholic, narcotic or other intoxication is now punished with a fine in the amount of 15 MMW with deprivation of the right to drive a vehicle from 1.5 to 3 years (previously without penalty).
Violation of traffic rules by drivers of vehicles that resulted in a minor bodily injury or substantial material damage to the victim is punishable by a fine from 5 to 7 MMW or deprivation of the right to drive from 1 to 3 years.
Violation of traffic regulations by drivers of vehicles that caused damage to vehicles, traffic control devices or other property, which did not cause substantial material damage, entails a fine from 2 to 4 MMW or deprivation of the right to drive a vehicle from 6 months to 1 year.
The penalty for driving a car without the relevant documents has been increased from 0.5 to 1 MMW.
The management of vehicles by persons, who do not have the right to drive, as well as the transfer of the management of vehicles to a person, who does not have the right to drive, now incurs a fine of 5 MMW.
The management of the vehicle by persons deprived of this right is now punished with a fine of 10 MMW.
