Uzbekistan increases electricity output by 3.5%
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan increased production of electricity by 3.5% year-on-year in 2010 to 51.712 billion kilowatt-hour.

Enterprises of Uzbekistan produced 18.25 million Gcal of heat energy, a year-on-year decrease of 1.6%.

Power stations of Uzbekenergo state joint stock company produced 51.194 billion kilowatt-hour of electricity. Other part of electricity was produced by autonomous heat power stations of industrial enterprises and small hydro power stations of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Management.

The company unites seven thermal plants, six hydroelectric plants and three combined heat and power plants.
