Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Presidential Resolution No “On measures to improve the quality of prevention and treatment of allergic diseases” was adopted, Norma reports.

The main directions for improving the system for the prevention of allergic diseases and providing allergy and immunological care to the population:

strengthening control over epidemiological indicators of allergic diseases starting from primary care, introducing targeted screening examinations;

organizing a system of free provision of necessary medicines to the needy segments of the population;

early identification of the causes of development and prevention of allergic and immunological diseases among children and adolescents, pregnant women;

expansion of types of high-tech diagnostics and treatment, introduction of molecular diagnostic methods locally.

For early detection and prevention of allergic and immunological diseases, from 1 January 2024, patients suffering from allergic and immunological diseases included in the “Unified Register of Social Protection” will be provided with free inhaled glucocorticosteroid drugs.

The Republican Scientific Specialized Allergological Center is being transformed into the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Allergology and Clinical Immunology with a fund of 140 beds. The center will provide specialized and emergency assistance for allergic diseases to the population of Tashkent.

By 1 April 2024, it is planned to create and implement an electronic registry of patients suffering from allergic diseases.

In all regions of the republic, a system of aerobiological monitoring of pollen from allergenic plants is being introduced to improve the quality of prevention and treatment of allergic diseases.

From 2024 it is planned:

studying the composition and scale of seasonal distribution of aeroallergens that cause diseases by region;

regular publication in the media of data on the composition and scale of seasonal distribution of aeroallergens along with information on environmental pollution.

The “Road Map” for the development of a system for providing allergy care to the population of the republic in 2023-2025 was approved.
